There are more nature docs that anyone cares to count floating around on the web and streaming services these days, but never before have cameras been able to capture life at night. Using next-gen cameras and technology, Apple TV+ will unveil the latest of the nature docu-series with their “Earth at Night in Color”.

The 6 part series will span the earth from the Arctic Circle to the African savannah and every dark shadow in between, capturing never before seen footage of wildlife at night. Previously footage of nocturnal animals had been filmed with infrared and various types of night vision equipment, but the cameras used in this series are capable of turning night into day without the slightest bit of detection from those roaming nearby. And where we have all come to love the voice of Attenborough, “Earth at Night” will be narrated by Marvel’s Loki, Tom Hiddleston.

This series is a first of its kind and will be sure to open the door to a world relatively unknown. The behaviors of animals that thrive at night will be seen and learned for the first time. And where before you might have accepted there was life after light, now there may be a concern to what is actually roaming around in the darkness.

“Earth at Night in Color” is set to air on December 4th, 2020.
