Style up and stay warm

FIVE JACKETS FOR COLD WEATHER

The temperature is dropping, the NFL is beginning to air official games, and your significant other is starting to foam at the mouth for pumpkin spice everything. Fall is here, and as the temperature begins to decrease, your wardrobe will need some attention. In true CYTIES fashion, we have a list of some of the most badass jackets to keep you warm while you stand in line at the pumpkin patches.

Buck Mason Waxed Herringbone Flight Jacket

A spring weight flight jacket cut from a lightly waxed herringbone cotton and complete with suede collar and reinforced elbow patches. Sourced from the finest mills in Scotland, this jacket will keep you warm and dry during the dampness of the Fall months while also looking sharp and ready for any early morning strolls amongst the turning leaves.

BUCK MASON

Filson Wool Cruiser

Filson began the cruiser as a shirt jacket to help the lumberjacks in the Pacific Northwest stay dry as they worked the wet forests. It later was the most imitated garment in Filson’s repertoire. This jacket is a heavier version but still using lighter weighted wool to make this the perfect coat for the months that get you from the hot summer to the cold winter.

CYTIES TIP: The Wool Cruiser pairs well with dark denim and a simple collared shirt underneath. Wear this jacket the same way you would wear a cardigan.

FILSON

Flint and Tinder Denim Trucker

When you think of a denim jacket, many kick-ass men of the past come to mind—Steve McQueen, Montgomery Clift, and James Dean, to name a few. Ralph Lauren is known for sporting denim as well. With all of these examples, why would you not own a denim jacket yet? Few others have replicated the badass looks of the past like Flint and Tinder, featuring a washed denim that’s tough enough to handle any task at hand.

HUCKBERRY

Taylor Stitch Quilted Decker

Quilted jackets may be one of the most valuable items in your wardrobe. Since there are multiple layers stitched together, the purpose is to trap air and keep you warm. Nylon is famously durable and often used by fishermen on the high seas. Trust that wearing this will make you look amazing, but not the pirate kind of amazing.

CYTIES TIP: While this jacket will look fantastic on its own with chinos and a t-shirt, it will also carry over to the colder months as a great layering tool under the heavier coats.

TAYLOR STITCH

Baracuta G9

Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Daniel Craig. That is the list of icons that have decided that this classic jacket, which traces its history back to the 1960s, was good enough for them. This coat is a great option to substitute the sometimes overdone bomber jackets of late. And, if Ole Blue Eyes, The King, and James Bond aren’t enough to show you that this is the most badass on this list, then nothing will.
