Boutique is the name of the game when it comes to Ian Schrager’s Public Hotel, an exclusive experience of luxury and design offered to all modern explorers looking for a classy dwelling when gallivanting around the Lower East Side. Upon entering, you’ll be surprised to find there isn’t a front desk but instead a group of advisors that will greet you and assist in any check-in or requests. It’s like an assistant approach to hotel hospitality—something new and nice.

A first-time stay will reveal that this hotel offers a fine-tuned excess at an affordable price. The rooms are minimalist with refined sophistication, with provocative style down to every detail. If you’re a tech fan, then you will be pleased with controlled adjustments and room tweaks right at your fingertips. No room service is available, but after the last two years, we much appreciated the forced recognition that this room is meant to meditate and relax, while the spoils are right out your hotel room door.

Grab a sexy cocktail at Cantina & Pisco Bar, or head into Bar Chrystie; a new elegant and intimate bar celebrating New York City’s cocktail culture. You’ll be coordinating your sips to live vinyl spinning DJs. For a view, head to the Roof for a vibrant 360 showcase of Manhattan from an outdoor terrace— ideal for sunset. Stay as the stars peak out if you’re seeking a late-night hotspot; it gets vibey.

Public Hotel is a place where new ideas are born for the hotel industry, not to mention it’s situated perfectly towards Nolita for a bouquet of options when it comes to shopping, food, and drinks. With a key location and aesthetic, it’s the kind of place that helps any visitor take a nice bite out of The Big Apple.
