Dallas will sneak up on you. The city offers a happening scene that packs a punch any night of the week. Needless to say, when visiting DFW you might yearn for some serious TLC. The perfect score for shelter on the road is a hotel with the full package, you don’t want to leave your hotel and go in search of the coffee, food, or care you need. Thank goodness there is the impeccable Joule, they have everything you need in one 1920s neo-Gothic building to supply the energy to explore Dallas all over again.
The eight-foot cantilevered pool makes you feel like you’re swimming beyond the edge of the hotel, hundreds of feet above Main Street
With as much amenities as The Joule has, you’d think it was more of an elite social club than a hotel. Ideally located in downtown Dallas, The Joule’s lobby is ever constantly busy with business dealings, hotel guests, and tourists admiring the stellar, post-modern and quirky art collection. Start out the visit with a drink from the Lobby Bar and admire the cool mosaics and books at the TASCHEN Library, the travel items in The Hotel Shop. Long travel day? Seek solace in artisanal coffee from the Weekend, The Joule’s on-site coffee shop.
Indulge in the Joules spoils and make sure to hit up the 8,000-square-foot subterranean spa for massages and rejuvenating treatments. It’s also equipped with yoga and a gym with top-of-the-line cardio and weight machines. If a TRX or HIIT training helps you sweat out the toxins better, check out a class at The Joule’s fitness studio, VITAL.
Replenish the body with Texas-inspired meals at CBD Provisions, the hotel’s trendy restaurant that offers a great selection of local craft beers. From there, we recommend heading up to The Joule’s famous heated pool. The eight-foot cantilevered pool makes you feel like you’re swimming beyond the edge of the hotel, hundreds of feet above Main Street ( check the photo gallery to see our happy place). It’s the perfect place to relax in the center of the city.
The sharp and stylish rooms feature Merbau wood floors and Italian millwork. With a minibar, free Wi-Fi, and an HDTV and Apple TV, the space will keep you equipped and fresh with a rainfall shower.
When the evening falls, and the stomach yells for more good food, grab some Italian at Americano, a place with a cool vibe straight from the 50s and 60s Italian cinema area. The outdoor patio offers some good people watching. After dinner, disappear into the ground to the Midnight Rambler, an old school craft cocktail salon with a rock n’ roll atmosphere.
The Joule takes care of you when visiting Dallas in every way possible, and then some. Visit Dallas, and rest assured, they’ve got you, too.
