James Coffee Co. is the badass of San Diego coffee shops. With a few shops scattered around the city, this locally roasted coffee shop has set the bar for coffee in SoCal, and set it high at that — almost as high, as the planes seen roaring through the sky over their India St. shop. How ever you're rolling up to this shop, whether it be on a board, bike, four wheels or your own two feet, roll up in style and be ready for a bold cup of some damn fine coffee.

James Coffee Co. is anything but grab and go. It’s a society specializing in artisan-roasted coffee embossed with its unambiguous signature, a bold outline of a caffeinated owl, on the shop’s blends and apparel. Believe us, the taste of the coffee here will have your eyes and senses resembling their mascot.
It’s not just the buzz of the elite espresso that will keep you alert as the roar of low-flying planes ascending in San Diego scrape the sunny SoCal skies overhead.
Located in the back of San Diego’s “The Space,” James begins at the display of a neon orange sign hung from the rafters stating the obvious you came hunting for, COFFEE, but it extends far beyond that. It’s not just the buzz of the elite espresso that will keep you alert as the roar of low-flying planes ascending in San Diego scrape the sunny SoCal skies overhead. The metallic wide-open space resembling a hanger is full of goods of many natures for a coffee fanatic. Check out the exclusive James Coffee Crafted blends like the White Owl that is roasted right on location. Beyond the brew and beans, James Coffee Co. also owns a distinct apparel line of tees, flannels, and caps.
Spread the mark of the owl and pick up some custom lapel pins or the vacuum-insulated thermos that keeps your coffee lava hot through long journeys. The James Coffee Co. experience doesn’t have to be exclusive to the location either, as they offer a coffee club subscription that sends fresh roasted bags packaged and shipped each month, bringing the owl straight to your door.
India St. location also has a barber shop in the hangar. Is there a better way to finish up a trim, than with an espresso?
India St. location just might be our favorite coffee shop in the US.
If at the India St. shop head into ZB Savoy for some choice men’s essentials
