Percy's & Co infuses a handsome and comfortable atmosphere with apothecary inspired cocktails. Dust off a historic memoir of Seattle and you will find that in the early days of the West, the town of Ballard, now one of Seattle’s most historic neighborhoods, had more bars than any other town west of the Mississippi River. Percy Sankey was the front-runner of this initial crusade, keeping early Seattleites happy and drunk through the long winters. Even the threat of prohibition didn’t stop Percy; the resourceful entrepreneur changed the name to Percy’s Men’s Furnishing and swung the back door open for its previous patrons.

Percy’s & Co. is a celebration of the determined history of Ballard Ave. and is perhaps the best place to knock back the finest apothecary-style cocktails in town. Walking into Percy’s, it is hard not to notice the vibrant green ferns hung throughout the brick-and-glossy-wood-lined open space. The fluorescent green foliage is an immediate ode to the Pacific Northwest and a distinctive nod to the environment that makes the area so vibrant.
